Big Bang

orologi big bang milano

The history of  the Hublot brand and Big Bang model began long ago. It is the adventure of a man able to dream and to innovate.mIn 1980, Carlo Crocco established  Hublot in Geneva. He immediately obtained a very positive outcome with a Classic gold watch, whose design recalled the Yatch porthole, with pure and refined lines, strictly combined with the black rubber watchband. For many years it has ridden the wave of success all over the world being considered "The Kings’ watch."

Many famous people, from the King of Spain Juan-Carlos to Giorgio Armani, from De Benedetti to Luciano Benetton, Mina, Silvio Berlusconi, Silvester Stallone, Tina Turner, and many others wore faithfully their wristwatch. After several years of worldwide success, Carlo Crocco realized that the Hublot brand needed a new breath of fresh air. To do this he decided to hire Jean-Claude Biver (who had fulfilled a presidential position in Omega) as CEO.

On this occasion Beniamino Crocco decided to move to Geneva and assist Mr.Biver and Mr. Guadalupe (current CEO of Hublot), assuming the role of Director of Marketing and following the Brand creative and design team. After a major design and creative study, in 2005 in Basle was presented the new “BIG BANG” Dream Watch. This model gives substance to the concept of Fusion of the Art, merging the traditional Swiss Genevan watchmaking and the introduction of innovative materials and productive High-Tech.

The Big Bang is indeed revolutionary with respect to its composition and the materials used. Its assembly is defined a Sangwich and is made with more than 258 components. The materials range from Titanium, carbon fiber, ceramic, Kevlar, rubber and obviously gold. Immediately it was awarded at the “GENEVA WATCHMAKING GRAND PRIX”, for the "2005 DESIGN PRIZE", "SPORT WATCH PRIZE", “WATCH OF THE YEAR " in Japan and "BEST OVERSIZED WATCH" in Bahrain. In just a few years Hublot has quadrupled its turnover, thus sanctioning its great success on the watch market and gaining consideration by the major collectors around the world.

In recent years Hublot has concluded several partnerships such as the Yacht Club de Monaco, the Morgan-Motor, the Wally Yacht, the Palma Vela of Spain, the Porsche Cup in Spain, the Depeche Mode. In 2007 the group opened several one-brand boutiques in Paris, Porto Cervo, Saint-Tropez, Geneva, etc... In 2008 the Crocco family ended the Hublot adventure in the name of success and prestige. Hublot was indeed acquired by LVMH (Louis Vuitton). Beniamino Crocco decided to remain linked to the Brand, collaborating with the Mother Company and opening a one-brand store in Milan: Nerone (Big Black), dedicated precisely to Hublot’s color par excellence.

In 2010 Hublot acquired the BNB Concept, becoming a factory for all practical purposes. In 2011 Hublot had 650 dealerships and 40 one-brand boutiques designed by Peter Marino. Hublot today is involved in many sponsorships, including the World Championships of Nordic Skiing in Oslo, Maradona’s “Al Wasl” Football Association, the Bayer Monaco, the Juventus Football, the Manchester United, the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 and the Mediterranean Championships of High Sea Sailing, sponsoring the Grand Soleil 44R "you are a Diva" and the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.

And still with the Paris Saint Germain Football, Pele, Usain Bol, José Mourinho, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, FIFA World Cup. Last but not least, in 2011 it concluded a partnership agreement with the Ferrari team, becoming the official timekeeper and Partner of the Cavallino.
